It's WD, what's there to complain about?!
Except for the fact my 4 TB Elements Portable didn't make it a full year.
(I think I should add that I'm an adult and treated/transported this thing carefully.)
It's fast, reliable [was], plenty of storage, and good value. However, it started acting funny: slow transfer speeds, clicking, etc. I happened to be looking at the Windows Event Viewer and noticed a drive had bad sectors - traced it down to this thing.
Fortunately, they have a pretty good warranty and I would gladly accept an exchange as it's been less than a year since purchase.
Decreased overall rating due to the hardware issues of my drive and durability since it lasted a year.
Bottom line: Stuff breaks. HDDs have moving parts that won't last forever. I know that it's a bit of a pia, but if WE do OUR due diligence - one hard drive failure won't be curtains for your data.
