Do NOT Purchase D2 Thunderbolt 2 Model! Crashed Apple Systems
To make this short and sweet, I've used custom made external m.2 ssd drives, G Tech Drives, Seagate drives, and many other form of Thunderbolt 2 drives for my 4k-6k video editing and more. I bought this device back recently in August, and since then, I have NOT be able to EVER use the Thunderbolt 2 data port option, as it has FROZE AND CRASHED ALL 3 of my OS X systems.

I read many forums, reviews, tips, comments, contact support, etc. MANY people claim that unfortunately, some of these D2 drives are "bad lemons", and the thu. 2 port doesn't function right with ports. I have used 4 different kinds of thunderbolt 2 cables, none worked. I NEVER messed with the drive; made sure all product software was installed correctly and working fine. Plugged in, systems slowly froze, then crashed. Yes, I've contacted their terrible support that could not relay me a solution to fix my drive other than just replacing it which was the only way for things to work I guess. I have now moved on to thunderbolt 3 for my workstation systems, and have no need for this drive any more.
Wish I would have returned it to Amazon the day of receiving it and got my $300 back.
